Her Lying Eyes by Susan Mills Wilson
In less skillful hands, Wilson’s characters could become clichés – a powerful scion of a wealthy southern family, indulged but lonely wife, spoiled son, intrepid reporter, heroic cop. Refreshingly, Wilson avoids stereotypes and patiently develops each of her characters while she spins a twisted tale of love, revenge, murder. Just when you think you know where her story is going, the plot grabs you and shakes you. Great read.
